Plotly Studio v0.0.93: Accurate Credits and Deployment Fixes

Improvements

  • The AI agent can now produce longer responses, so complex code and detailed analysis are less likely to be split across steps or cut short.

  • When a response does exceed the model's limit, Studio now shows a clearer informational notice explaining that the agent will retry with smaller steps. The previous warning was often mistaken for running out of account credits.

  • Your credit balance now updates every 60 seconds and whenever you return to Studio, so purchases and usage are reflected during your session.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where credits and plan details sometimes showed information from a different team than the one you had selected.

  • Fixed an issue where the Billing and Published Apps links in the user menu opened your primary team's page in Plotly Cloud instead of the selected team's page.

  • Fixed an issue where the View App and Copy App URL buttons sometimes produced links that didn't open after deploying to Plotly Cloud. Deployed app links now work for both Plotly Cloud and Dash Enterprise.

  • Fixed an issue where a failed deployment caused every later deployment attempt to show an authentication error. You can now retry a deployment after a failure.

Plotly Studio v0.0.92: Various Bug Fixes

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where opening the Skills Library from Code view appeared to work but never showed the library. Opening the Skills Library now switches you to Steps view, and switching to Code view closes the library.

  • Fixed an issue where the Export as CSV button on the DataTable toolbar did nothing in browser and Docker mode. Clicking it now downloads the file through your browser. The desktop app still uses the native save dialog.

  • Fixed an issue where several sample projects failed with a module error when re-running their code. Sample projects now work as soon as you open them.

  • Fixed an issue where a "Something went wrong" error briefly appeared when opening or returning to an Agentic session, even though the session loaded normally.

  • Fixed an issue where some users saw a connectivity error every time they opened Studio, even with a working internet connection.

  • Fixed an issue where dragging files with the same name into an Agentic session behaved differently on Windows and macOS. Both platforms now handle duplicate filenames the same way.

Plotly Studio v0.0.91: Newer AI Models and More Accurate Previews

New Features

  • Studio now runs on Claude Sonnet 5 and Opus 5. You should see better quality results across all AI-assisted workflows.

Improvements

  • The Sessions tab on the Project page has been removed because it duplicated the session list shown below the prompt input. You can still find all of your sessions in that list.

  • While a Dash app preview loads, you'll now see a spinner that matches the rest of Studio instead of plain "Loading..." text.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Dash apps using inline style blocks appeared unstyled in the embedded preview, even though they displayed correctly in a browser.

  • Fixed an issue where Dash apps using external stylesheets, such as Dash Bootstrap Components themes, appeared unstyled in the embedded preview. Previews now match what you see in a browser.

  • Fixed an issue where some Python submodule files were missing from app previews, which could cause a preview to run outdated or incorrect code.

  • Fixed an issue on Windows where switching between components or resizing panels could make Studio unresponsive for several seconds.

  • Fixed an issue where the Go to Bottom button in an Agentic session sometimes stopped partway through the conversation instead of scrolling to the end.

  • Fixed an issue where users belonging to multiple teams were sometimes signed into a different team than the organization they selected at login.

  • Fixed an issue where a network or server error during sign-in renewal could leave Studio in a broken state. Studio now signs you out cleanly so you can sign back in.

  • Fixed an issue on macOS Sonoma and earlier where the login screen, home page, session cards, and onboarding window showed flat panels instead of the intended blur effect.
